Create a New PAN-OS or Panorama User

Step 1:

• Log into the PAN-OS or Panorama web UI using your assigned credentials.

• Select the Device tab and then on the left toolbar, select Administrators.

• In the bottom left corner of the page, select Add.

Step 2:

• The Administrator dialog box appears. In the Name field, enter a username. In the Password field, enter a secure password for the account. If your organization has a standardized and secure credential convention for accounts used for services and other purposes, use that convention.

• For Firewalls:

  • In the drop-down below Administrator Type, select the role of Device administrator (read-only).

• For Panorama:

  • In the drop-down below Administrator Type, select the role of Superuser (read-only).

Note that these Administrator Types are needed due to API collections.

• Select OK.
